Garret Anderson touched them all and had 2 RBI and Steve Trachsel pitched a 3
hit shutout at the ballpark as the Chainsaw Proctologists beat the Tampico
Stogies 8 to 0.
Anderson had a big day at the plate. He smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' (his
11th of the season) in the 2nd inning, doubled which scored a run in the 4th
inning and doubled in the 6th inning. Chainsaw managed 13 hits in their
victory.
For Trachsel(5-7) it was his 2nd shutout this year. Daniel Cabrera(6-8)
suffered the loss. He pitched 5 and 1/3 innings allowing 8 hits and no
walks.
Mike Aldrich was obviously impressed with the pitching of Trachsel, 'That guy
made us look a little silly out there this afternoon. We just couldn't get
to him at all - everything was working for him. I just hope that he got that
kinda performance out of his system.'
